Google has sued an alleged Chinese cybercrime network, saying the group used AI to scale scam messages, fake websites and phishing operations.

TechCrunch reported that Google accused the group of targeting large numbers of victims through AI-generated scam content and fraudulent domains.

The case highlights how AI tools can reduce the cost and effort of cybercrime.

It also raises pressure on platforms, telecom providers and security teams to detect automated fraud faster.
